AVPro Edge has released a new firmware that can help in a situation where your CAT run may be experiencing interference beyond the tolerance of the low power HDBaseT mode. In this mode there is less offer for forward error correction and it has the protentional to show up as no picture or black screen if the interference would have needed corrected. If you are experiencing black screen while switching it is likely that your site is being affected.

Low power is a great option for heat and longevity but not all sites will be able to stay in this mode.

Below is the step-by-step guide on how to update the firmware of your AC-EX70-444-RNE’s.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Micro USB to USB data cable for direct serial connection to your windows-based PC
  • This uploader and file FW 2.13
  • The CH340 driver
Install the CH340 driver and connect your PC directly to the AC-EX70-444-RNE with your Micro USB to USB cable.

Download the zip file and extract it.


Open the Firmware Uploader V1.25. Select the correct COM and use the Open button to open port.


Use The file button to load the EX70-444-RNE_Ver2.13.00.00(BFC8).fwm file


Use the Get Version button for the current firmware (2.12) then use the upgrade button to load.

NOTE* the unit will pause at 99.95% for a bit to reboot.


After the 100% Use the Get Version button to be sure you are at V2.13 then use the close button to close port before disconnecting RNE. Firmware is done.
